Obituary of Marian Lynn Moore

Marian Lynn Moore, born October 29, 1955, died at her Melbourne, Florida home on July 6th, 2010, in the company of her loving husband, Michael Moore. Ms. Moore had a wide and varied career as an Oregon State Forest Fire Fighter. She was a squad leader, responsible for the well being, safety, and medical treatment of her squad and the commercial logger working in the forest. Once when a logger was severely injured she radioed dispatch to clear the road "she was coming in hot and heavy"! Ms. Moore was a Championship Equestrian as well as a working horse rider. She is survived by her husband, Michael; her sister, Carolyn Ewald of Powder Springs, GA; and her brother, Air Force Col. Bill Elander, ret., Former Thunderbird Pilot, and Vietnam POW. Marian was preceded in death by her sister, Sally Walker. In lieu of flowers, any and all donations should be made to The Daily Bread in Melbourne.
