Dear Buck and June Myers, Johnny and family. My sincerest sympathies on the loss of John. Cherish the memories of the times you spent together, for they will comfort you tomorrow. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. "Perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy."

Don Avery sent me this message. Johnny and I were friends from "the early days" of the 50's and 60's. I actually "hung out" with The Fanatics, traveling with them to several "GIGS". Although we haven't been close for many years, the news of his passing is still a shock, as I guess we all perceive ourselves as "eternal" or "invincible" when we are young. My heartfelt prayers go out for Johnny, and my coldolences for you as well, and I wish you the best from myself as well as from my mother, (who is still going fairly strong at 83!), and living here in Ft Myers, Fl. Sincerely, Jack.

Dear Uncle Buck and Aunt June, I really don't know what to say except that I am so sorry to hear about Johnny. First Gale and now Johnny, my heart goes out to you both. I can't imagine the pain you must be going through. I wish you all were closer so that I could do something to help you. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. The photo of Johnny in the Capital is the first I've seen of him since he was a young boy. He looks just you, Uncle Buck. You, Granddad Myers and my Dad, look so much alike. Please take care of each other. We miss you being here at home in Maryland. Love, Lois and family.
