Just wanted to offer my sincere condolences for Uncle Ned... I can remember all the trips to Florida and the great times we had here in the Mountains for the Fourth of July. He was a great story teller and always made me laugh. I know that these are sad and trying times for my Aunt Joyce and the rest of the family but maybe you can find comfort in the thought of no more pain and no more sadness for he is in the Presence of The Lord. We love you and may God continue to richly bless you all!

Even though I never had the pleasure to meet Ned, my dad, Al Pafunda, had great respect for him as a former boss, mentor, and friend. My thoughts and prayers are with the family and I hope that the fond memories you shared help get you through this difficult time.

Please accept my deepest sympathies for your loss. The loss of a love one is the most painful experience we have in life. There is a void that cannot be filled. Rest assured the Bible promises we will hold them again and enjoy their smiling faces forever. It is God's purpose that no one dies ever again and everyone live on earth in Paradise. God never wanted anyone to die but to live happy healthy lives forever on earth. We have to exercise faith in his Son, Jesus Christ, to gain these blessings. God gives us his Word so we can gain comfort now and have hope for the future.

Mr. Straehla was truly a treasure , he was also my elementary school principle and my children also had the honor to know him. He knew each one of the students by their first name and greeted them every morning. Such a rare thing, he truly cared about the students at his school. He will be missed, Heaven has a new angel! My thoughts and prayers are with the family , remember the joy

My thoughts are with the Straehla family. Mr. Straehla was a wonderful man and principal and he left a great legacy behind him. I attended Indialantic Elementary in the 1980's and Mr. Straehla and a few other teachers used to provide us with wonderful live music during our lunch hour. It was always so fun to see them play and to see another side of our teachers! I am thankful for all of the memories that I have.

My condolences to the Straehla family, I grew up with Keith & Eric and Mr. Straehla was the principal for Sea Park Elementary while I, my younger Brother and Sister were there. He was a truly great man, always had words of engouragement for us kids. May you have joy knowing that he made a difference in many a young persons lives, especially during the Vietnam War. Alot of our fathers were overseas during this time and I remember his concern for our families. These acts of kindness, I will never forget. Tim Davis

Joyce & Family- We at Presbyterian Home for Children are grieving with you, while we also celebrate, knowing that Ned is with his father in heaven. The Alumni Picnic just isn't the same without Ned playing the piano and sharing stories. We treasure the visits we had in past years and will miss seeing Ned in the future. Our prayers are with you all. Love, Sarah & staff at PHFC

Our deep and sincere sympathy goes to Joyce and the family. Ned was exceptional in so many ways-----teacher-----administrator-----school Principal-----leader----golfer and raconteur. He loved good jokes and new how to tell them so well. He will be missed.
