Obituary of Ralph Warren Fountain

Ralph Warren Fountain Jr., 86, of Indialantic, FL died Friday, December 17, 2010 surrounded by his family. Ralph was born in Cordele, GA on June 9, 1924 to the late Ralph W. Sr. and Byron C. Fountain. After attending high school in Miami Florida, Ralph enlisted in the US Army honorably serving his country during WWII in N Africa and Italy where he received the Purple Heart for his service. After the war, Ralph received his Bachelors degree from Georgia Tech University, a Masters degree from the University of Georgia as well as a Masters degree from the University of Florida. Ralph worked as a logistics project manager at Warner Robins Air Force Base, GA, where he was instrumental in overseeing the delivery of the F-15 fighter aircraft which led him to travel extensively worldwide. He retired from civil service in 1980 and returned to Florida. Ralph was predeceased by his brother Thomas David Fountain. He is survived by his wife Clorette "Kit" Fountain, son, Peter Fountain, daughters; Lynn Marie DeMoray, Michelle Wagner, Kristen Lingner, Erika Inglis and 7 grandchildren. Ralph will be buried in Georgia with full military honors at a later date.
