Obituary of Robert John Moosbrugger

My hero and love of my life, Robert John Moosbrugger, left our world on February 24, 2011 to be with his hero and savior Jesus Christ. He fought a valiant battle with ALS for 12 years and what a beautiful blessed 12 years it has been. Robert was born in Syracuse, NY on November 12, 1947 to Robert and Mary Moosbrugger. He moved to Gouverneur, NY in 1974 where he met and married his wife Bonnie. He ran a successful Utility Contracting Co. for many years and then built Gentry's Clam Cove Restaurant in Gouverneur, which he also was very successful. When he was diagnosed with Lou Gehrigs disease in 1999 he sold Gentry's and moved to Florida. Robert is survived by his wife; Bonnie, children; Eric Raven and Megan (Michael) Sihle, grandchildren; Sonya, Gentry and Gabriel Raven, brothers; Ted (Maureen) Mark, Alfred (Maureen), sister; Marianne (Mark); brother and sister-in-law; Stu and Dianna Peters, sisters-in-law; Carolyn (Jerry) Gamble and Phyllis (Paul) Wells. His mother Mary and son Scott preceded him to heaven. Thank you, Moosie for all the beautiful memories, you touched so many lives. Memorial Service will be held at St. Marks United Methodist Church, Indialantic, FL on Sunday March 6, 2011 at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the ALS Association.
