Obituary of Patricia J. Richter

Patricia J. Richter, 87, of Melbourne, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 11, 2011. She was born in Hamden, OH to Clara and Vernon Prose. Pat came to Brevard County in 1972 from Rome, NY. She was a volunteer with the Daily Bread, and enjoyed flower arranging as a hobby. She was a member of the Patrick AFB Officers Club; and a member of Ascension Catholic Church in Melbourne. She is survived by her daughter, Mary P. (Glenn) Knapp of Gillette, WY; sons, Joseph M. of Lexington Park, MD, and James R. (Jannette) of Sebastian, FL; cousin, Carol (Frank) Ebert of Hamden, OH; four grandchildren, Kevin, Cathy, Tiffany and Joshua; two great-grandchildren, Kailey and Alex. Pat was preceded in death by her husband Joseph F. in 2000. Visitation will be held from 3-5:00 p.m, Monday, May 16, 2011 at Beach Funeral Home, Indian Harbour Beach. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Ascension Catholic Church. She will be interred with her husband at a later date at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
