Obituary of Jeanne P. Rice

Jeanne P Rice, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and bridge player extraordinaire, passed away at home on Saturday May 21. She was 94 years old. Born and raised in Scandia, KS, she spent over 45 years in Kansas City, KS before moving to Indialantic in 1988. She is survived by her daughter Alice Walden of Satellite Beach, two grandchildren, James Walden of Columbia, SC and Becky Walden Consunji of Jacksonville Beach, FL, and five great-grandchildren. In Kansas City, Jeanne volunteered as a member of the PTA, American Red Cross, and the bar association auxiliary. She also served as the faithful leader of Brownie troop 8, working with the girls all the way from 2nd grade through their high school graduations. Friends are invited to join the family at a 10:00 a.m. on Thursday May 26 at Florida Memorial Gardens for a graveside memorial service honoring Jeanne. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the American Red Cross.
