Obituary of Odette Josephine French-Harden

Odette Josephine (Brutinel) French-Harden, beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend died unexpectedly on May 31, 2011 at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne. Born in French Algeria, Odette was a proud American citizen who worked as the Assistant to the Cocoa Beach City Manager for more than 26 years. Odette is survived by her husband, Elphia Harden of Satellite Beach; her sister, Colette (Henri) Lombard of Paris, France; her daughter, Poucette (Robert) Luce of Melbourne; her son, Robert (Betsy) French of South Patrick Shores; her son, Patrick (Alicia) French of Viera; grandson, Sean Duggan of Phoenix; and grandson, Hunter French of Boca Raton; and many nieces and nephews in France. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Casimir et Mame Brutinel; her sister, Andrea Signoret; her daughter, Margaret; and the father of her children, George French. Services will be held, Monday, June 6, 2011 at 11 a.m., Ascension Catholic Church, Father Tobin will officiate. Entombment will be held at Florida Memorial Gardens Mausoleum after the Mass. Friends may call at the Beach Funeral Home, Indian Harbour Beach, at 321-777-4640.
