Obituary of Myrt Leonard

Myrt Parrish Leonard, 91,of Satellite Beach, passed away, Monday, August 8, 2011 at her home with family at her side. She was the widow of US Navy Commander, George Leonard, who served in WWII as a fighter pilot on USS Wasp. She was a member of the Retired Officers Wives Club. She is survived by her three sons, Col. George Leonard, Jr, Charles Leonard and Ronald (Barbara) Leonard; her sister, Mary McCoy of Pensacola, FL; nephews, Graham Leonard, Gilbert (Linda) Leonard, George Case and Gretel Case Harlan, Spencer (Betty) McCoy, Philip (Linda) McCoy, Mark (Lisa) McCoy; grandchildren, George (Marti) Leonard, III, Christopher (Nati) Leonard, Nicole Leonard, Scott Leonard, Ashley Leonard, and Amy & Josh Camilletti; great-grandchildren, Christopher Leonard, Jr., and Kaylei & Lucas Leonard. Visitation will be held from 1-2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 13, 2011 at Beach Funeral Home, Indian Harbour Beach. Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 p.m. following the visitation at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, FL with her late husband, George.
