Obituary of Teresita G. Silva

Teresita G. Silva, 83, of Indialantic, passed away peacefully surrounded by family Tuesday, August 9, 2011. She was born in Santa Clara, Cuba on January 15, 1928 to Ofelia and Anselmo Gonzalez Mora. Teresita left Cuba in 1960 and initially settled in River Edge, NJ. She taught high school Spanish, raised five children who adored her and was very creative and artistic. She epitomized beauty, style and grace, yet made it seem effortless. Coupled with her generous heart, these qualities made her both an angel and a soldier of God. Teresita was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Indialantic. She is survived by Ignacio, her loving husband of nearly 65 years; sons, Ignacio, Jr., Fernando and Ed Silva; daughters; Helena Silva Chapman and Andria Silva; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren who will all miss her dearly. Memorial Service will be held at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Indialantic on Saturday, August 13 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, consider a donation in Teresita's name to Alzheimer's research
