Obituary of Matthew Markham Roy

Matthew Roy, a kind, gentle and loving soul was welcomed into heaven with a clap of thunder. His faith was strong and he loved the Church. Matthew was a tireless worker where he saw a need, Habitat for Humanity and Holy Name's Hearts Out To Haiti, being two of many close to his heart. He was always eager to help a friend and stranger alike and was comfortable with both CEO's and the poor. An adept listener he was fully present to the person he was speaking with. He focused on the positive, and was completely non-judgmental. Among many hobbies, Matthew was an artist, and loved the beauty of the ever changing ocean. Like too few in the world today, Matthew believed in and sought peace, looking for the common ground, not the differences. While the world will be a less peaceful place without him, and he will be sorely missed by friends and family, Matthew has found true peace
