Obituary of Jerome Gerhart Peters

Jerome G. Peters, passed away on September 24, 2020 at his home in Melbourne, Florida with his daughters and granddaughter by his side.  He was born October 9, 1940 in Ronco, Pennsylvania, to the late Robert G. Peters and Anna Catherine Hobart.

He graduated from high school and served in the United States Navy from 1959 – 1961. He began driving for trucking companies which included Consolidated Freightways where he retired after 35 years.  He moved to Florida, and played golf everyday for a year and then decided it was time to go back to work.  He worked for Hertz Car Rental for 18 years until 2018. Jerry loved his family, always putting them first.  He will always be known for his kindness, smile, conversations, words of wisdom, stubbornness and love for all who knew him.

Survived by his siblings, Sr Roberta Peters, Robert Peters (Linda) Rita Bulgaris (predeceased brother in-law George Bulgaris) and Thomas L. Peters (predeceased), daughters Sandy Withers (Doug) and Diana Harmon (Rusty), 4 grandchildren, Matthew, Michael (Brittany), Melissa and Alexis. 4 great grandchildren, Bennett, Emily, Luke and Brody.  8 nieces  and nephews (predeceased nephew Bobby) and 15 great nieces and nephews (predeceased great nephew Derek) and many friends who loved him dearly.
