Obituary of George Francis Ambrose

George Francis Ambrose, 86, of Melbourne passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at Vitas In-Patient Unit in Rockledge. George was born on April 18, 1934 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Joseph Ambrose and Martha Petroski.  During his life, he spent 3 years in the U.S. Air Force and later went on to work for the government as an Air Traffic Controller for 39 years. George was an avid golfer and played every Thursday. George was an active member of the Holy Name of Jesus community where he was a part of the Resurrection choir and served as President of St. Vincent de Paul for eight years. Survivors include his loving wife Nancy Ambrose; his children Glenn Ambrose (Adrienne), John Ambrose and Katherine Ambrose; and his two grandchildren Parker and Perry Ambrose.

A memorial service will be held at Holy Name of Jesus on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 11:00 am.
