Obituary of Stephanie G. Knudson

Stephanie G. Knudson, 62, passed away November 8, 2021.

Stephanie was born in East Patchogue, Long Island, New York on June 4, 1959 to Robert and Patricia Gibbs. She grew up in Bellport, Long Island, New York, where she attended Bellport High School. She continued her education at Hofstra University, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business. Her employment began after graduation at Pepperidge Farm, a subsidiary of Campbell Soup. She retired as a Senior Sales Manager after 34 years with the company.

Her favorite activities include golf, bridge and especially tennis. She was a number 1 tennis player at Hofstra University in both singles and doubles. She continued her love for tennis by giving women tennis lessons.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 36 years, John. The couple married June 22, 1985 and spent most of their married life in Richmond Virginia. Stephanie wanted to retire in Florida where she had fond memories of her childhood visits and visiting her parents during their retirement.

She is also survived by her brother, Scott Gibbs (Rhonda), two nephews, Grant and Quintin and one niece, Danielle.

The family is especially grateful to Vitas Hospice staff for all the loving care given to Stephanie during her last days.
