Obituary of Frances R. Hamby

Frances R. Hamby of Melbourne Beach, Florida passed away peacefully at the age of 95 on May 25, 2022 in Palm Bay, Florida surrounded by her family.  Fran was born on February 21, 1927 in Melrose Park, Illinois to her loving parents Marino and Maria (Morelli) Petrucci.

Frances is survived by her sons, James Marino (Mary Kay) Hamby and Ken (Beth) Hamby; son-in-law, Anthony Patti; grandchildren, Tony (Sarah), Lauren Frances, James Marino, Keith, and Kelly; and great grandchildren, Oliver, Arya, and Elijah.

Fran was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, James B. Hamby; daughter, Barbara Patti; and brother, John Capriotti.

Fran was a traditional homemaker that stayed home and gave her kids the most important gift she could ever give them, herself. She gave them her time, her attention, and her love. Later, her grandchildren captured her heart and then there was no greater joy for her than the arrival of great-grandchildren. She cherished her family and they do her. She has been a blessing in each and every life that she has touched. Fran will be greatly missed by all.
