Margaret Curran

Obituary of Margaret Curran

Margaret Curran passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on June 24, 2022 after a brief illness at age 97.

She was born in Newark, NJ and later lived in Orange, NJ before retiring in Satellite Beach FL, a place she called home for the last 33 years. Marge brought joy and smiles to everyone she met and shared many laughs and good stories in return. She was exceptionally optimistic and enjoyed her work before retirement, having spent over thirty years working in Union, NJ manufacturing airplane parts, and especially loved her job at Jimmy Buff’s, New Jersey’s famous Italian Hot Dog spot.

Marge’s daughter Deb was the center of her universe and she always shared how much she loved her with everyone she met. She was the most wonderful mother any daughter could ask for and she showered all of her love on to her family, especially her three grandchildren, Alexandra, Jonathan, and Christopher, and her daughter in law Paula Cardarelli.

Her surviving sister Virginia “Gin” will always have a special place in her heart, having spent 95 years together, rarely one without the other, often mistaken as twins. Marge and Gin defined “sisterhood” and almost everyone they met would share their own story of their sister and of their future wish together, so compatibly with so much contentedness.

Marge was pre-deceased by her eldest sister Dorothy Buccino of Union Beach, NJ, George Mullin of California, and Melvin Mullin of Satellite Beach. She was a loving aunt to nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Marge will be missed by so many people whose lives were touched by such simple acts of kindness in conversation, a compliment, and generosity of spirit. Rest in Peace.
