Christopher Clark

Obituary of Christopher Joseph Clark

Christopher Joseph Clark, Beloved Husband, Son, Bother, Stepfather and devoted Friend passed away suddenly on June 1, 2023. Chris was born in Delaware County PA (DELCO) on June 12, 1969. He graduated from Upper Darby High School in 1987.  He furthered his education at Rutgers University and graduated with a degree in Agronomy (Turf Management).

Chris started out working on golf courses in the Philadelphia area, where he grew up. In 1994 he decided to try his hand at building golf courses. His first position was with Marvin Schlavch Golf Construction. He operated bulldozers, roughing out the architect's vision. He quickly became one of the most sought after shapers in the area, he would turn the architect's vision into reality. Chris worked on over 30 golf courses in the New Jersey and the Pennsylvania area. In 2001 he changed gears and started doing site work on commercial and residential properties. He then did pipeline construction all over the Northeast before finding his forever home and career in Florida. Chris moved to the Satellite Beach area in Florida in 2011.

In 2014 Chris started work at the Redland Company and has worked there since. He wore several hats there including Foreman, skilled heavy equipment operator and most recently, surveyor. The Redland Company was not only Chris's employer, they were family. He had a very special bond with Brian Pierce and Rey Melendes, these men were his angels on earth.

In June of 2020 Chris met the love of his life and they married on April 23, 2021. They resided in Melbourne Florida where they enjoyed spending time on their boat, going to the beach, concerts and just loving life.  Chris also loved to golf but did not get to do it as much as he would have liked. There has never been nor will there be a more devoted husband, Loving son, brother, loyal friend and all around amazing man. Chris had a great, sarcastic sense of humor. He always has a witty comeback. His personality was larger than life and drew people in. Chris was handsome, smart, charismatic, loyal, jovial, and absolutely exhausting.

Chris is survived by his eternally loving wife, Deborah Sullivan-Clark, his parents Linda Clark-Toner, Robert Toner, siblings Shannon Toner (Joe Nelli), Elizabeth Toner, Kevin Toner (Cindy Wilkocz), his step-son Connor Sullivan, lifelong friends, Todd Felix, Casey and Sandy Frasier, Jay Parisian, Maureen Cooney-Hamiton, Tammy McCarten, his Side Pocket family, and so many others too numerous to list that loved him like he was family.

Chris was preceeded in death by his brothers, Timothy Toner, James Toner; his cousin, Sean Toner.

The world was a better place with Chris in it.  He is now and always will be missed by many.

(Chris, I pray that you know, you have been my everything, my world since the first time we spoke.  I can only hope that you know how much you are loved and will be forever missed-Deb)
