Craig was born July 22, 1934 in Charleston, SC. He was the 10^th child to Carroll A. Santos, Sr. and Theodora M. Santos (Gradick). And passed away on June 28, 2023 in Melbourne FL, just shy of his 89^th birthday.

He graduated from Bishop England H.S. in 1952. He proudly served in the Marine Corps from 1954-1956.

Craig was very proud of his 35 years in the space program which included the Gemini, Apollo, and Shuttle missions.

He is survived by his daughters Joyce and Pamela (Todd) and grandchildren Melinda (Jesse) and Jason. He was also blessed with four great grandchildren Austin, Dylan, Emma, and Annabel. Also his sister in laws, Mimi (Louis), Obie (Emmett), Helen (Chuck Sr.), Nancy (Jim) and special nephews Robbie, Ronnie, Michael, and Francis as well as a special niece Carroll.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 44 years Patricia in 2001, his parents, and 6 brothers, Carroll Jr., Francis, Marvin, Bobby, Emmett, and Louis and 3 sisters Kathryn, Charlotte, and Dolly.

A Funeral Mass is being held at Ascension Catholic Community on Thursday, July 20 @ 1pm. A private burial will be held alongside Patricia at Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens in Mt. Pleasant, SC at a later date.
