Obituary of Richard A. Greisamer

Richard “Rich” Greisamer, 58, of Satellite Beach, passed away at home on August 6^th after a long battle with cancer.  Rich was born in Michigan but spent most of his childhood in Dayton, Ohio.  He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force, retiring after a career spanning over 20 years.  He later returned to military life, working for DoD civil service at Patrick Space Force Base until his illness forced him to stop working. 

He became involved in the local soccer community when his children started playing.  For many years he coached city recreational teams and competitive teams, and was the assistant coach for the Satellite High Girls soccer team.  When he wasn’t coaching soccer, he could be found fishing from his boat or target shooting with his kids, or simply sitting on his dock with a beer, enjoying the view. 

Rich is survived by his wife of over 30 years, Sarah “Sally” Greisamer; son Matthew Greisamer (Virginia), daughter Jamie Carr (Melbourne FL), son Jason Greisamer (Utah), granddaughter Ella Carr (Melbourne FL); son-in-law Randy Carr (Melbourne FL); mother Audrey Romer (Fort Myers FL).  He was preceded in death by daughter Melissa Greisamer.

In lieu of flowers, Rich has requested that donations be made to the Air Force Aid Society.  Arrangements are with Beach Funeral Home in Satellite Beach.
