Obituary of Sara Jo Garrett

Sara Jo Harding Garrett, 86, Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and friend to many passed away on August 23rd, 2023. She was born in Albany, Georgia and grew up in Warner Robins. Sara spent much of her life in Vancleave, Mississippi where she loved working in the yard and tending to her beautiful flowers. She loved art, square dancing, her family and of course her miniature Schanuzer, Katie Girl. Over the years, Sara sang "A bushel and a peck" to each of her grandchildren and perfected her homemade biscuits and gravy (with jelly of course!). She was always encouraging, gracious and had a beautiful kind soul. 

Sara was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Ruby Lee Holland; her siblings, Irene Butler, Joyce Gorecki and Rudolph Jacobs; former husband, Charles "Chuck" Harding and husband, James "Jim" Garrett. She is survived by her children, David (Mary) Harding and Nancy (Charlie) Vinson, Debbie (Bill) Terry and Bobby (Birgit) Garrett, two "bonus kids", Jim and Luanne Bovard; grandchildren, Sara, Gwen, Ethan, Michael, Timmy, Christopher and Ricky; 10 great grandchildren. 

A memorial and celebration of life will be planned at a later date in Vancleave, Mississippi.
