Obituary of Maryellen Maddox

Maryellen Maddox, 73, of Melbourne passed away on September 2, 2023 at the Holmes Regional Medical Center. She was born March 9, 1950 in Brooklyn, New York; the daughter of the late Thomas McAuley and Maryellen (Crawford) McAuley.

Maryellen was a 23 year retired Army veteran and retired as a Master Sergeant.

Maryellen is survived by her children, Alicia Maddox of Melbourne and Brian Maddox of Texas; her grandchildren, Nathan, Alex, Jacob, Michaela, and Orlando; her sister, Frances Mahoney of Ocala, Florida; her brother, Steve McAuley of Ocala.

In addition to her parents, Maryellen was preceded in death by her ex-husband, John Maddox, on January 23, 2021.

A Mass of Christian burial will take place at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Community, 3050 N. Highway A1a, Indialantic on Friday, September 22, 2023 at 11:00 am. There will be visitation from 10:30 – 11:00 am at the church.
