Obituary of Terrance Joseph Betten

Terrence Joseph Betten, 75, slipped the bonds of earth peacefully on November 10, 2023 at his home in Indian Harbor Beach.

Terry was a long time Space Coast resident and owner of Paradise Pools in Melbourne. He was born in Lebanon, Illinois, the first of nine children of Francis Joseph and Cleola Mae ‘Coe’ (Harris).  He was the consummate older brother to his siblings- a steady and conservative mentor and life counselor. He's remembered as a great brother, father, boss, teammate, coach, golf companion and competitor. When March Madness rolled around you would always find him rooting for his alma mater – Villanova, where he played Rugby.  He truly enjoyed the Holidays, when the people he loved most would come together.  In the tapestry of our lives he wove a legacy of love, strength, and enduring memories that will remain in our hearts forever. His favorite phrase was ‘Thank You’; especially in his appreciation for his love Debbie, who summed it up best- “Once in a lifetime you meet someone who becomes your best friend, and you get to love them till the end.”

Terry was predeceased by his parents and his sister Cheryl and brother Bradford.

Terry is survived by his son David and his wife Karen (Campbell), his daughter Lee Shea and her husband Sean Krensta, and daughter Carrie and her husband Chris Silva; along with grandchildren Jack, Shea, Rori, Ryleigh, and Grayson.
