Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Benton

Mary Elizabeth Benton, known to her loved ones as Marybeth, passed away on November 14, 2023, in an automobile accident, in Brevard County, Florida, at the age of 53. She was born on December 24, 1969, in Kansas City, Missouri. Marybeth was a compassionate and caring individual who dedicated her life to serving the underprivileged and those in need.

 

Marybeth’s career was marked by her commitment to helping others. She worked as a Victim Advocate, Guardian Ad Litem, as well as Patient Relations and Social Services Director at several Nursing Care and Rehabilitation facilities. Her work made a significate impact on the lives of many individuals.

Marybeth received her education at St. Therese Parkville in Missouri for primary school and St. Pius X High School in Kansas City. She later attended Satellite High in Satellite Beach, Florida. Marybeth graduated from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. She was a proud member of Phi Mu.

Marybeth’s devotion extended beyond her professional life. She found solace and community in her places of worship, especially St. Therese Church and East Coast Christian Center.

Marybeth is survived by her parents, Bill and Janie Benton, her brother Stephen (Tiffany), her nephew Gavin, and her niece Haley. She also leaves behind many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins who will cherish her memory.

A Celebration of Life service will be held after the first of the year to honor and remember Marybeth. Contributions in her memory can be made to Helping Seniors of Brevard, an organization that she held close to her heart.

Marybeth’s legacy of compassion and selflessness will continue to inspire those who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those lives she touched.
