Obituary of Charles Vitalie

Charles Anthony Vitalie was born on December 31^st, 1938 in Universal, IN to parents William Vitalie and Catherine Giacoletto Vitalie.  He passed away after a brief illness on November 16^th, 2023 at Advent Health in Orlando, FL.  Charles “Chuck” served in the U.S. Army Reserve and worked at Eli Lilly in Clinton, IN as a Construction Coordinator for 24 years.  He and his wife Paula Chilton Vitalie relocated from Clinton, IN to the Melbourne, FL area in 1995 after they retired. Chuck was loved by all who knew him for his generosity and kind heart.  He enjoyed biking, walking, traveling and spending time at the beach.  He is survived by his wife Paula Chilton Vitalie of Melbourne, FL, daughter Jill Vitalie Showalter Hanna (husband Ray Hanna) of Apex, NC, sister Billie Vitalie Cvengros (husband Don Cvengros) of Terre Haute, IN, and grandson Holden Showalter of Towson, MD.  In addition he is survived by many other family members including sisters and brothers in law, nieces and nephews.
