Obituary of David Michael Derrick

In Loving Memory of Mike Derrick,

David Michael Derrick, beloved husband, father, and community real estate broker, passed away peacefully on November 26th. Mike was born on April 17, 1957, in Bitburg, Germany to Irvin Hendrix Derrick, and Betty Koon Derrick.

Mike is survived by his wife of thirty-three years, Natalie Willis Derrick, daughter Megan Derrick, sisters Karen (Doug) Hamilton, Robin (Robert) Luber and younger brother Stephen (Sally) Derrick. His wife, Natalie will continue his legacy through Derrick Real Estate, her involvement in the realtor community and property management. His daughter, Megan is on the verge of completing her doctoral program, paving the way for her continued journey as a dedicated professor.

Mike's tenure in real estate began in the late 1980's with Fogg Realty, eventually leading to opening his own brokerage in 2002 with Derrick Real Estate. As a mainstay of the community, he served as an Elder at Eastminster Presbyterian Church and on the board of Life's Oasis Church. He touched the lives of many through his supportive nature, sense of humor, and business acumen, leaving a lasting mark on the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.

The Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 2nd at 2 p.m. at Beach Funeral Homes in Indian Harbor Beach. Please come and share your cherished memories, stories, and laughter in your favorite Hawaiian shirt as we pay tribute to a life well-lived. The family is requesting donations towards a charity of your choice, in lieu of flowers (also due to cats).
