Obituary of Harry John Pawlak

Col. Harry John Pawlak II, "Opa" died peacefully at home on March 24, 2024 in Satellite Beach, Florida at the age of 90.

He is preceded in death by his sister and infant son. He is survived by his loving wife, Darlene (Smith) of almost 20 years; children Yvonne Muse (Don), H. John Pawlak III (Teresa), Theresa Harris (Matt) and step-daughter, Cheryl Hubbard (Keith Sr.), nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

He served his country in the United States Air Force and was awarded many medals including the Silver Star to his Astronaut Wings. Harry served his city by working with the Police and Fire Retirement Board. He served his community volunteering at the Satellite Beach Police Department. He carried in his wallet for 60 years, photographs of his children that better reflected the love and affection he had for his family more than words on paper could convey. Harry's Legacy continues to resonate in the hearts of those fortunate enough to be a part of his life.

Visitation at Beach Funeral Home, 1689 S. Patrick Drive, Indian Harbour Beach, Florida on Thursday, March 28, 2024 from 3:00 – 5:00 pm. Cremation will follow the visitation.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to the Shriners Children’s Cancer Research Fund.
