My deepest sympathy to the family. The loss of a loved one is a painful experience. Sadly, we have an enemy: death. We have other common enemies, such as sickness and old age, which also cause a lot of suffering. God promises to conquer them all, and at last passing sentence on mankind’s greatest enemy. “As the last enemy, death is to be brought to nothing.”—1 Corinthians 15:26.

We all were very sad to hear about AJ's passing. He was always so polite and considerate of others, especially the kids. I hope God can bring you peace during this time, and we all send our prayers for you and Alex.

We have 2 children at SBHS. All of us send to you our comfort, love and prayers. This poem has brought me comfort many times, and now I pass it to you. The Little Ship I stood watching as the little ship sailed out to sea. The setting sun tinted Andre's white sails with a golden light, and as he disappeared from sight a voice at my side whispered, “He is gone." But the sea was a narrow one. On the farther shore a little band of friends had gathered to watch and wait in happy expectation. Suddenly they caught sight of the tiny sail and at the very moment when my companion had whispered, “He is gone” a glad shout went up in joyous welcome, “Here he comes....Andre is home!" If we can do anything for you (bring you a meal) please contact us. Love, Sandy Mike, Andrew, Kristina and Kim Palumbo

I just read about the recent death of your loved one. The Bible calls death an enemy and that is certainly how it strikes us, as an enemy. Take comfort in knowing that the loving God who created us did not want us to suffer in tears of pain. “He will actually swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord will certainly wipe the tears from all faces. And the reproach of his people He will take away from all the earth, for God himself has spoken [it].” Isaiah 25:8. My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories as well as these few words, bring you a measure of comfort.
