Obituary of Andre L Myers

Andre Lamar Myers, Jr. entered this world on July 24, 1995 at 5:55 p.m. in Pordenone, Italy to parents Andre Lamar Myers Sr. and Altrameise LaShelle (Edmonds) Myers. He was blessed and he blessed this world with wonderful bright shining eye. And a most welcoming loving smile. Andre, known as AJ, quickly made his talents of artistry and intellect known to everyone and was always ready to engage in his famous family debates, or when quiet, devote himself to drawing to express his profound interest in everything about this world. Quiet, yet engaging, childlike, but deeply intense about life, he openly received and gave love to everyone he encountered. AJ and his family moved to Satellite Beach in June 2006 where he attended DeLaura Middle School and Satellite High School. Upon graduation this year, AJ planned to begin and fulfill his career passion at the Art of Institute of Indiana. In addition to his famiy reknowned debates and art, AJ's other passion was gaming and perhaps one of his greatest disappointments would be to lose a game to family or friends. His artistic loves and pursuits included music, rap, writing, reading and everything Japanese; going so far as to teach himself to read, write and speak the language; looking forward to the day when he would visit and tour the country. Family and friends went hand in hand with AJ and his friends always became part of his family. Once you were his friend, you were always his friend. He was deeply devoted to them and they have remained deeply devoted to him. Like his friends and most teenage youth, AJ dreamed of a bigger, better and more loving world. He held a strong belief in God throughout his life and disapproved of any type of judgement or condemnation of others. AJ was a very special and sensitive soul and loved everyone equally, believing that God wanted all of us to be peaceful and happy. Those who knew him, knew they would be asked his favorite question, "Are you happy?" Alex and AJ shared a very wonderful and unique brother and sister relationship. It was always AJ calling Alex or Alex calling AJ. Her special name for him was "Bubby". He loved being her big brother and while doing all the things big brothers do, he was always her best friend, playmate, protector and the "smartest person in the world". AJ's reunion with his God makes us all more conscious of the need to love and care for one another. We are now more desirous of a closer relationship with our God and we should honor AJ with being "Happy".
