I am one of Carol's grandaughter's, I was able to spend valuable hours of conversation on the phone with my gram. My Gram and I made an effort to become closer after the loss of my grandfather. A few things I would like to share about my Gram, She loved drama and theater. She would tell me all about the musicals and plays that her and her girlfriends would go to in her younger years. She would talk to me about the love for her mother and father and how difficult it was every single December and how much they meant to her. The love and respect was so profound! She liked to dress nice, loved to wear costume jewelry, and missed wearing her "fancy" clothes that she wore when she was younger. She told me to never loose my sense of style, wear what you like and keep wearing it, it is easy to get into the "comfortable, practical" lifestyle of clothing. We loved to talk about her work at the state hospital and the state hospital that used to reside in my town. The most important thing I would like to say is, my gram was the strongest woman I have ever met, she never gave up, she fought all the way to the pearly gates! I love her very much and will miss the connection we had.

My deep condolences to Carol's family. Carol and I were part of Wuesthoff Brevard Hospice's South Team for many years. As a social worker I appreciated Carol's people skills and the deep commitment she had to her patients and their families. She worked tirelessly for them and brought them her nursing skills along with her care, concern, and often humor. I enjoyed the times we could schedule joint visits and work more closely together. And both hailing from Connecticut we often talked of places familiar to us both. I know she will be greatly missed. - Judy Graham
