Terry, Suzanne & Geoff: I was away this weekend and saw the notice of Bud's death in The Sun this morning. I certainly want to extend my condolences for your loss. But, I must tell you that this notice brought back so many wonderful memories of time spent at your house; Rusty Rock Swim Club; college roommates with Geoff-terrific memories for which I am forever grateful. I will always think of Bud with his quick laugh and easy smile. Jeff

Bud hired me as an Assistant Hospital Director when I was 24 years old. He gave me a chance and then served as one of my early mentors. He and Terry treated me like a son --taking me sailing, having me up to dinner, inviting me to their home often. Bud was one of the people I most respected in my professional and personal life. I will always remember his grace, confidence and even temperament as a leader. I am so glad that I had the chance to visit with him down in Florida just last month. I'll miss talking to him which we did regularly. Thanks for all you did, Bud, for me and so many others. I'll miss you. Love you, Bud. Mark

I will always remember that Bud gave me the freedom to do the things of interest to me, and to travel the road less traveled. He was a great President and a great friend. In my calls over the last year, it was clear that he was failing. Now that he is resting in peace, he will be sorely missed. Bill Reichel
