Diane Nadolny

Obituary of Diane Donalda Nadolny

Diane Nadolny, beloved wife, mother and mother-in-law, passed peacefully on March 1, 2021 after an extended illness. She was 80 years old. Diane was born on April 10, 1940 in Fall River, MA and grew up in Rockland, MA. She was the daughter of the late Ferdinand and Armande Cote.

Diane married the love of her life, Richard Nadolny, on July 18, 1964. Together they started a family while Richard established his medical career living in Washington, DC, Pittsburgh, Hawaii and eventually settling in Indialantic, FL. During this time, she attended Emmanuel College in Boston, University of Hawaii and ultimately earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Central Florida. Diane worked as a dental hygienist in Indialantic and later as a real estate agent for 25 years.

Diane was dedicated to building a loving home and family. She cherished spending time with family and friends, and they loved being with her. Diane truly brought joy into every occasion. Throughout her life, she enjoyed traveling. Her favorite places were Hawaii, where she and Richard lived with their two young sons for three years, and France, where she loved speaking the language, experiencing the culture and sampling the regional food and wines. From her baker father, Diane inherited a love of sweets, with a particular fondness for chocolate.

Locally, Diane volunteered for the Brevard Symphony Orchestra and the Brevard Museum. She enjoyed attending symphony events and sharing meals with friends at the Eau Gallie Yacht Club. Diane was a wonderful host to visiting friends and relatives, always putting others first. She always did everything in her power to make everyone feel special. Witty, compassionate, generous and kind, she took extraordinary measures to care for anyone in need. As a cancer survivor herself, Diane assisted and comforted other women in their battle against cancer.

Diane is survived by her husband, Richard; her son, Michael and his wife, Lisa; her son, Mark; three brothers; Charles, Donald and Paul Cote, and many members of a loving extended family.

Diane was deeply loved and will be missed more than words can express.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (https://themmrf.org/).
