I have hesitated posting my tribute as I feel overwhelmed by all the wonderful memories. Matante Annette (as we all referred to her) was the glue that kept our large family together with our annual family reunions. She was raised by our mom, therefor she was like a sister to us. Mona & I got to visit her and hang out in recent years and those memories are precious. I will miss you for sure, but am comforted by the fact that you are sharing your time with the rest of our loving heavenly family. Till we meet again. Love you!!

Annette will always be remembered as a "gift of giving" - - and she gave of herself without limit.
The greatest part of her life was her devotion and dedication to military service for America as an officer in the US Army.
Of all her Army assignments, none was longer or more memorable for Annette and the soldiers with whom she served than when she was in the 478th Civil Affairs on the University of Miami campus in Coral Gables.
Years later, after many of us retired from the Armed Forces, it was Annette who put us back together, kept us together and had us spinning yarns at her annual "reunions" that were always happy events we all looked forward to attending.
She was our guide-on, a joy to work with, a bright and thoughtful officer and a woman we all held in high esteem.
Annette left a lasting memory for all of us!

Jerry and I will miss Annette very much, the good time when we saw her. Talking about the old days and going to the marina on base and having a cocktail there and back at her place. Jerry, Don and her telling about their trips for the Army. She was a sweet person and fun to be with. May she rest in peace and be remembered for all the good things about her.

Hopefully, Annette and Jack are reunited and looking down on us, tipping a beer and reminiscing on the good times. We who served with Annette will remember her fondly for her contribution to our country, her great deeds and her most pleasant personality. When I now think of Annette, it will be how I/we all will miss her. Stanford A. Paul, LTC, USA Ret.

Annette and Jack were dear friends and fellow soldiers in the Army Reserve. During our days on "duty", Annette showed a great love of country and commitment to protecting her fellow citizens - by giving selflessly of her time, energy and intellect. We shared some interesting and challenging moments during our military exercises and summer encampments - despite the stress of having to make instantaneous command decisions, she was always cool, calm and collected. In civilian life we shared many interactions when she worked for the State of Florida in charge of the "Suniland" facility in Broward County for physically and emotionally challenged youth - while I was the attorney for the Florida Nurses Association and therefore represented her medical staff. Later we shared many pleasant reunions with our Army colleagues at her family's apartment on Miami Beach. I have many fond memories of a very sweet and kind woman. She may be physically gone from the earth, but will continue to live in many of our hearts. Don Slesnick, LTC, USA, Ret.

I miss you Matante Annette, dearly. You were taken from us without notice. I want everyone to know that you touched so many lives. Your generosity, compassion and willingness to help others, especially those who were in need, did not go unnoticed. I have met some of her friends that I did not know before and they have told me so many wonderful stories. All of them so heart warming. I ask anyone that knew her to post a short little tribute about her. It is the only way I know just how far her love has reached.
You will be in my heart forever!

I am grateful to have met Annette over the last years in Florida! She taught me to “poolercize”. I so enjoyed the time that we spent together. My youngest granddaughter attends the same college that she graduated from. This year when she visited , Annette brought her yearbook down and we sat by the pool paging through it. She was so incredibly kind and giving to everyone. She will continue to be an inspiration to me. She spoke of her family with such love. She was hoping that the next generation would try to continue the family reunions. I extend my most sincere condolences to her family. She loved you so much! I will never forget her.
